Happy July NACE Family!
It’s hard to believe the year is already half over! Hopefully, everyone has had a chance to take some well-deserved r&r time this summer.
Thank you to all of our members and guests who attended our June program last month, Get Loud & Proud with Charlotte NACE where we celebrated pride month and welcomed guest speaker, Don Mamone. Our sponsors included The Boplex/CRVA, Curated Events, Perfectly Wrapped Balloons, The Vanity House, Split Second Sound, Southern Blossom, Get Social Charlotte, Catch Light Studio, Olive Paper and the Hilton Charlotte Uptown. We had so many incredible vendors come together to make this an unforgettable program so I’d like to extend a huge thank you to them, along with our planning committee for this event! In other news, 9 members from the Charlotte chapter are heading to the NACE Experience Conference taking place in Denver, CO from July 21st - to July 23th, 2024, including our two scholarship winners, Erin Dennis & Amber Rowe. Our chapter is nominated for 4 awards this year, so help us send out all the positive vibes & hope for a win!
We have a great promotion going on right now for our members that offers 4 meetings for the price of 3. Attend the August, September, October, and December programs in 2024 for only $120, a saving of $40! We’re so excited to be having a July meeting full of fun this year at Queen Park Social! Don’t miss out on this Olympic themed game night complete with food, drinks and free games provided by Queen Park Social, music provided by Bunn DJ Company, a photo booth provided by ShutterBooth Charlotte, and themed decor provided by Extravaganza Events.
We also have an exciting chapter update to share. You may have noticed that the registration page for the July meeting is a little different than usual. We are in the process of getting a new website! This is really exciting from an organizational standpoint because this CRM was designed specifically for NACE, so our website & database will now be more cohesively synced with Nationals which just makes everything easier for us. This new site will also have a social element where our membership can communicate and interact with each other on a virtual level. Keep an eye out for more info to come!
I know it seems early, but this is the time of year when we start to get ready for election season. We will have 5 Director positions up for re-election as well as 3 Executive Board positions. We also have 5 appointed chair positions.
